After nearly 25 years in airline industry with Singapore and United Airlines here in Honolulu, Cathy was ready for a career change. Her people skills, her study of Hawa'ii and its culture, the importance of "a Hawaiian sense of place", and another passion......looking at houses and properties....made a career in real estate feel like a good fit.
Formerly with Rod Burgess Realtors in Hawai'i Kai, Coldwell Banker Pacific Properties in Kahala, and several years with East O'ahu Realty in Hawai'i Kai, she is now proud to hang her license with Kahala Associates. She enjoys working with both Sellers and Buyers in both the high-end luxury and entry level markets. She and her husband Robby, who is a full-time insurance agent as well as a Realtor Associate, offer their clients a wide range of services, able to assist them with their real estate and insurance needs.
Cathy and Robby were married in 1967. A member of large part-Hawaiian family, Robby encouraged Cathy's interest in Hula and the Hawaiian culture. As a result, she has been involved with the study of hula and Hawaiian language for over 40 years..... they still remain abiding passions in her life. The Ostrems also spending time with their children and grandchildren who have settled in the Seattle area.
